The Lich King
The King of Terror
Erek Hus (the Lich King) is the lord of the undead, a fallen tyrant of the Abyss who intends to conquer the Middle World and restore his ancient kingdom. He’s not entirely insane and mostly understands that ruling a kingdom is not the same as destroying it.
“The moon is dark, and the gods dance in the night; there is terror in the sky, for upon the moon hath sunk an eclipse foretold in no books of men or of earth’s gods…’ There is unknown magic on Hatheg-Kla, for the screams of the frightened gods have turned to laughter, and the slopes of ice shoot up endlessly into the black heavens whither I am plunging… Hei! Hei! At last! In the dim light I behold the gods of earth!” ― H.P. Lovecraft, The Other Gods
Everlost > Mabar, the Endless Night > The Abyss
Ages ago, during the Dawn War, Erek Hus (the Lich King) split the dragon god Eilífr from head to tail, cleaving the him into two equal halves and planting he seeds of life and death in the Middle Worlds. Faewild and Shadowfell were thus first drawn together with the Middle Worlds, and Erek Hus made aware of the power of the death. Having mastered that power he transformed himself into the undying Lich King. At the end of the Dawn War he was banished by the gods to the mountain of Everlost in Mabar, in the Abyss, but he never forgot the Middle Worlds, the Faewild, and the Shadowfell.
